Greensboro & Winston-Salem Golf Trip cost calculator

How much does a Greensboro golf trip really cost?

Grandover Resort's two courses, Tot Hill Farm and Bryan Park, with two hotel rooms at Grandover, are the plan. A 12.75% lodging tax, the resort fee, golf bag fees, a car for courses up to 50 minutes apart and High Point Market weeks in April and October are what push the total up.

Greensboro & Winston-Salem Golf Trip cost questions

How much does a Greensboro golf trip cost?

For 4 golfers spending 4 nights in peak spring season, with four rounds each, a hotel, two rooms, flights and food, plan on about $7,680. Once you add golf bag fees, lodging taxes, rental car, resort fee, drinks on the course, balls, tips and side bets, it's closer to $10,810, or about $2,700 each. Use the tee-time planner above to price the courses you want.

When is the cheapest time to golf in Greensboro?

December through February. Oak Hollow, for example, drops to $30 on weekdays and $34 on weekends with a cart, against about $45 in spring. The trade-off is dormant Bermuda grass and cold mornings. Year-round, twilight is the bargain: Forest Oaks is $50 to $60 after 3 pm. Source

Can you play Sedgefield Country Club, home of the Wyndham Championship?

No. Sedgefield, which has hosted the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship since 2008, is a private club and is not open for public play. Its old Pete Dye course across town is now The Cardinal by Pete Dye, which sells limited public tee times. Source

What's the closest airport to the Greensboro golf courses?

Piedmont Triad International (GSO), about 15 minutes from Grandover Resort. The courses run from Summerfield in the north to Asheboro in the south and Clemmons in the west, 15 to 50 minutes from Grandover, so plan on a car. Raleigh-Durham, about 80 minutes east, often has cheaper fares.

Does High Point Market affect a Greensboro golf trip?

Yes. The furniture trade show runs twice a year, in mid-April and late October (April 10–14 and October 23–27 in 2027), and fills hotels in High Point, Greensboro and Winston-Salem at market-week rates. Book early or pick another week, especially in April, the heart of the spring golf season. Source
