How we built this estimate

The sample is 4 travelers for 4 nights. Your plan ($6,708) covers the main costs most people budget for, the ones you enter on the left. Costs people forget ($2,751, about 41% more for this trip) are the fees, taxes, tips and extras listed in the calculator. Prices were last checked on October 17, 2026.

What moves the price most

  • Airfare per person$2,128 · 22%
  • Food per person$1,600 · 17%
  • Rental home per night (whole group)$1,500 · 16%
  • Green fees per golfer (whole trip)$1,480 · 16%

Share of the $9,459 real cost. Nights and travelers multiply most of these costs, so changing either one moves the total the most.

Charlotte Golf Trip cost questions

How much does a Charlotte golf trip cost?

For 4 golfers spending 4 nights in peak spring season, with four rounds each, a rental home, flights and food, plan on about $6,710. Once you add golf bag fees, lodging taxes, rental car, drinks on the course, balls, tips and side bets, it's closer to $9,460, or about $2,360 each. Use the tee-time planner above to price the courses you want.

When is the cheapest time to golf in Charlotte?

December through February, when rates run about 15% to 25% below spring and fall. The trade-off is dormant Bermuda grass and cool mornings in the 40s and 50s. Year-round, twilight is the bargain: Rocky River drops from $86 on a weekend morning to $50 late in the day. Source

Can you play Quail Hollow?

No. Quail Hollow Club, host of the 2025 PGA Championship and the PGA Tour's May event in Charlotte, is private and open only to members and their guests. Skybrook, Olde Sycamore and Warrior are the best public options nearby. Source

What's the closest airport to the Charlotte golf courses?

Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), a few miles west of Uptown and a big hub with plenty of nonstop flights. The courses are spread from Rock Hill, SC to China Grove, 20 to 45 minutes from north Charlotte, so plan on a car.

Do NASCAR race weekends affect a Charlotte golf trip?

Yes. The Coca-Cola 600 runs over Memorial Day weekend and the Bank of America 400 in mid-October, both at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, next to Rocky River. Hotels and rentals near Concord and north Charlotte fill up and cost more, so book early or pick another week. Source
