Augusta Golf Trip cost calculator

How much does an Augusta golf trip really cost?

Rounds at The Patch, Bartram Trail and Mount Vintage and a rental home in Augusta are the plan. A 17% lodging tax plus Georgia's $5 nightly fee, high fares into Augusta's small airport, golf bag fees and a rental car push the total up, and Masters week can multiply what you pay for lodging.

The Patch and Forest Hills publish one rate all year, so they keep it; elsewhere fall is about 5% below spring, summer about 15% below and winter about 25% below, since few Augusta-area courses publish seasonal cards. Twilight is about 25% off, in line with Forest Hills ($43–$50) and Mount Vintage ($50). Masters week rates are much higher and are not modeled. Source

How we built this estimate

The sample is 4 travelers for 4 nights. Your plan ($6,852) covers the main costs most people budget for, the ones you enter on the left. Costs people forget ($2,774, about 40% more for this trip) are the fees, taxes, tips and extras listed in the calculator. Prices were last checked on October 17, 2026.

What moves the price most

  • Airfare per person$2,652 · 28%
  • Food per person$1,480 · 15%
  • Rental home per night (whole group)$1,400 · 15%
  • Green fees per golfer (whole trip)$1,320 · 14%

Share of the $9,626 real cost. Nights and travelers multiply most of these costs, so changing either one moves the total the most.

Augusta Golf Trip cost questions

How much does an Augusta golf trip cost?

For 4 golfers spending 4 nights in peak spring season, with four rounds each, a rental home, flights and food, plan on about $6,850. Once you add golf bag fees, lodging taxes, georgia hotel fee, rental car, drinks on the course, balls, tips and side bets, it's closer to $9,630, or about $2,410 each. Use the tee-time planner above to price the courses you want.

Can you play Augusta National?

No. Augusta National is a private club with no public tee times. The closest thing is The Patch, the 1928 city course that Augusta National helped rebuild. It reopened in April 2026, and visitors pay $85 to walk on weekdays and $95 on weekends, plus $10 for a cart. Source

How much does golf cost during Masters week?

Far more than usual. In 2026 Aiken Golf Club charged $175 with a cart and Cedar Creek $129 with breakfast and lunch, and Mount Vintage has charged $200 to $250. Rental homes and hotels book up and often cost several times their normal rate, so plan months ahead or pick another week. Source

When is the cheapest time to golf in Augusta?

Winter, from December to February, has the lowest rates and the courses stay open. Summer is hot and humid but tee times are easy to get. Any time of year, twilight saves money: Forest Hills drops from $55–$67 with a cart to $43–$50. Source

What's the closest airport to Augusta's golf courses?

Augusta Regional (AGS), about 10 miles south of downtown. Aiken's courses are about 25 minutes farther east. Fares into Augusta run high (the US DOT average was about $663 in spring 2026), so some golfers fly into Atlanta, about 2.5 hours away, or Columbia, SC, about 1.25 hours away. Source
